What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help pages work, remember preferences, and—if you allow—understand how the site is used.
How we use cookies
Thamespoint Financial Counsel uses essential cookies required for basic operation and optional analytics cookies that help us see which guides and advice pages are useful. Analytics cookies load only if you accept them via the cookie banner.
Types we use
Essential: remember your cookie choice and keep forms usable. These do not require consent under UK rules for strictly necessary storage.
Analytics: measure page visits in aggregate. Rejecting analytics does not block browsing, enquiries, or reading guides.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| thamespoint_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject preference for cookies | 1 year (localStorage) | Thamespoint Financial Counsel |
| tp_session | Maintains a short-lived session for form reliability | Session | Thamespoint Financial Counsel |
| _tp_analytics | Counts anonymised page views if analytics accepted | 6 months | Thamespoint Financial Counsel |
Managing or disabling cookies
Use the banner’s Accept or Reject buttons on first visit. You can clear site data in your browser settings to see the banner again. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies or delete existing ones.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP address to Google. We do not embed advertising networks. If we add a third-party analytics provider later, this table will be updated before it runs.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional cookies does not remove access to advice pages, fee guidance, or the contact form. Blocking all cookies in the browser may reset your consent choice on each visit.
